A fitting at Damak Ilham is not a rush of mirrors and opinions. You arrive by appointment. The piece is already on a form cut to your last measurements; we lift it onto you, and the room goes quiet.
We work from the shoulder first — balance, then ease, then length. Pins go in where the cloth asks for them. You walk, sit, raise an arm. The embroiderer watches how the beadwork moves; the cutter watches the side seam. Nothing is decided from a single still pose.
Between fittings the piece returns to the table. Lace is re-set, a hem is taken, a collar is re-beaded by a few millimetres. When you come back, the garment should feel less like a sample and more like something that has always known your shape.
The final fitting is short. If we have done our work, there is little left to say — only to wear it out of the atelier and into the evening it was made for.
